Performance self tuning and hardware diagnosis
Ok, so Microsoft claims Vista self tunes in a revolutionary way and all that Business talk where everything is either revolutionary, a new concept, or something that will turn the computer world around, For now... When i see it, il believe it
As you will notice if you are following up with our website, vista does include features and tools that tweak performance and monitor the system, Some of which we think were better in XP (example below), but we will go through these in some detail as soon as we finish investigating and messing with this area of Vista
As for the thing i think is better in XP, Memory management used to run full throttle for background applications when you leave the computer unattended for some time (your lunch break for example), this meant that when you come back, things tend to be slow for a couple of minutes, but much of the background jobs was done ! Now vista does not do the same, it does not give much to background applications so that when you come back it will be instantly lively, and this is very consistent with Microsoft's philosophy of (how it looks before what it is) .
For now, keep checking here if you are interested in knowing as we finish a few other things on the website and come back to tell you about our findings !
