Subsystem for UNIX-Based applications (SUA)
Wine makes windows programs (not all, but most) run under Linux, Unix, FreeBSD, Wine is helping many move from Windows to Linux, What about the other way round

Microsoft is trying, SUA (Subsystem for UNIX-Based Applications) was supposed to be the answer to encourage IT professionals to migrate to windows, since they already had the non technical customer, they were targeting
Tech Guys By only including in in the Enterprise - Ultimate editions.
Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX (SFU) is the older package containing Interix, optional, full-featured POSIX and Unix environment subsystem for Microsoft's Windows NT-based operating systems.
Please be aware that this is no emulator of the Linux kernel or unix kernel, it is a set of programs and a subsystem that runs on the windows Kernel.
Microsoft did not initiate the SFU project, they simply bought it in 1999.and now it is SUA (Subsystem for UNIX-Based Applications)
If you use LINUX you use GCC, this is the most commonly used tool to compile the open source software you download from the internet right ? GCC ships with SFU/SUA,
Also, there are tools for things like Identity Management for UNIX and Network File System, but again i need to emphasize that this does not make this a LINUX system
