Windows Vista AERO elements
To make it easy for you to immmagine, windows aero is the artist behind the scene, when a program calls him he comes and paints the window
Now this is only true for programs written to make use of this artist, older programs will still have the old look (they will call the older artist).
I am working on making some documentation for developers to start making use of AERO soon, Until then, i will add any useful information about the issue here
Fonts
Windows vista now utilizes a new text display technology (ClearType), Although cleartype shipped with XP, it was off by default, now it comes switched on by default, Clear Type works better for some fonts, and less for other fonts, so windows vista ships with a new set of fonts ( Constantia, Cambria, Corbel, Calibri, Candara, Consolas ) (All font names start with a C , i wonder why) , it is also worth mentioning that ClearType works better for LCD monitors.
Dialog Boxes / Wizards
Dialog boxes and wizards in windows vista call AERO's artist, they have the new VISTA AERO look, that is acheived with the transparency and the fonts, i have not yet noticed anything else that is different , Bigger fonts may be found on some boxes
