Windows Vista slideshow and themed slide show
Windows Vista comes with 2 flavors of slideshow, themed and un-themed.
Although not on our priority list since time is not really on our side, we did mess a bit with it, and surely we have some screen shots of the application
First, this is part of Windows Photo gallery, In some editions you get a slide show, in others you get a themed slide show
So, Microsoft lists there photo gallery three times in the features list, Once as photo gallery, Once as slide show, and another time for themed slide show, and they make three editions of the software (photo gallery, photo gallery with slide show, and another with themed slideshow), excellent, you sell 200'000 copies of windows and you want to squeeze the last drop, Ok, let me stick to our topic now
So, what is slideshow ? you can have a slideshow of your pictures and videos display one after the other with every one displaying for a set amount of time, themes means you can have them display in other ways... and in some editions you can burn slideshows to DVD, neat, but is available with other software combinations that can be installed on XP, some of them free, some are not !
Now let me tell you a bit more, If you have Home premium edition or ultimate edition of vista, You open a help file (See pictures as slide show) and you find
three supplementary topics, one of them is using a slide show theme, You open that same help topic in the business edition you will only find 2, the themed
slide show thing is missing, So microsoft is finally making changes to the help files according to edition rather than telling you if you have this you find this
and if you have that you find this and that kind of stuff.

However, on all other P.C's you can run a slide show from the Pictures shell, by clicking on slide show in the toolbar. When I click - nothing! Can you tell me if there is a setting I should adjust, as it is really usefull to run a slide show from pictures, without having to open the Gallery.
